Very good experience. Renate knew the area we visited (walked from the Laeiszhalle to the ferry port, took ferries west, unfortunately I can’t remember exactly where we disembarked, then bus back) in-depth. She provided history on many of the buildings we passed, and of Hamburg in general. She provided great suggestions for other places to visit, and for restaurants. Guiding us through the ferries alone saved us a lot of time and questions, it would have been confusing had we been doing that by ourselves. We had the Deutschland-Ticket so there was no issue with ferry fares.
