The ideal Hamburg Greeters Silke and Ulli realised a perfect bicycle tour with us to the southern side of Hamburg, to Wilhelmsburg, according to our vague information planned by themselves. They told us everything we needed to know about this island on the Elbe and about Hamburg in general in an absolutely competent and very friendly manner; also, for example, about the effects of the tides or flood disasters. We are thrilled how persistently they guided and informed us. It couldn’t have been better and more committed. On our beautiful tour we crossed among others: In Entenwerder (Elbpark) the Cafe: Golden Pavilion, the Inselpark, the futuristic colourful IBA houses (were also informed about the idea of the connecting centre), the Honigfabrik cultural centre, the energy bunker, Ballin City, the Veddel district. We crossed the old Elbe tunnel, drove through the Warehouse district with a visit to the coffee roasting plant. We looked over at the riverboat church and visited the old rows of houses in Hamburg’s historic old town on foot. Thank you again for this wonderful gift of time! SUPER!
