There are no words that are enough to describe what Doris did for us.
She helped reconnect us to my father’s early life in Hamburg. We walked the streets where he walked, to the park where he played, past the school he went to, and, were welcomed into the last house where my father’s family lived before they fled Germany, by the new owner! An incredible experience. One of the most emotional experiences for me was cleaning two family stolpersteines.
Our visit to Hamburg was an incredible experience, and we will be forever grateful for the time Doris spent researching and uncovering our family history, her care of us, her compassion and her interest.
