It was great! I met Hans at Altona Station and we had a lovely walk around the neighbourhood, learning a lot about the area’s past and how it has transformed into the region it is today. Hans was quite knowledgable about the area and we had a lot of good conversations, both about Altona and the similarities/differences between Canada and Germany. It was also good to get out of Hamburg’s City Centre and HafenCity and learn about other areas of Hamburg.
