We are a belgian family with 3 children of 18, 16 and 12 years old. As summer holidays we made a roadtrip and the last city on our tour was Hamburg. In preparation of the visit by coincidence I found the Greeter website. I never heard of this initiative before. I gave it a try to ask for a greet and we were lucky to be selected. Gordon, a Englishman living in Hamburg for several years, was our greeter. Friday August 12 2022 we met at the Rathaus. This was the start of a tour of 3 hours which I describe as interesting, custom made (for our family), interactive and last but not least also pleasant.
It was our first greeter experience and we really enjoyed it and we can really recommend it.
We ended the greet with a chat and a german beer enjoying the view on the Binnenalster. A big thank you to Gordon who is even better than a lot of professional guides.
An afternoon we will not forget soon …
