Our greeter Sören picked us up at the Blankenese train station and walked with us through Blankenese, across the weekly market, through a park past the rear light and into the staircase district. On the tablet he brought with him, he showed us historical photos of the district again and again. This fascinated our two more or less grown-up children. We would never have made it through the confusing staircase district so unerringly, only to end up strolling along the Elbe, eating a fish sandwich and taking the “Bergziege” back up to the station. We had a wonderful afternoon with Sören and would like to thank him once again for the tour, the accurate information and the nice conversations.
