We had wonderful hours with our Greeter Claus – a Hamburg original! He took an incredible amount of time for us and came up with lots of historical information and general facts about the city. Although this was already our third day in the city, we got to know completely new sides (Harvestehude, Eppendorf, Winterhude, Schanzenviertel, Karolinenviertel, …).
Without Claus, we certainly wouldn’t have got lost in all these corners of Hamburg. What fascinated us most was how different and multifaceted the respective districts are. It seems as if many cities in Hamburg have been combined into one. It also gave us an idea of how life is in Hamburg away from the city centre. Even a short rain shower couldn’t dampen our spirits and our desire to explore 🙂
Our first Greeter experience was a complete success and we can only warmly recommend this way of getting to know a city to everyone!
