My girlfriend and I had the privilege to be greeted by Doris in Hamburg. She was so nice and showed us around Hamburg by bicycle. We first saw some of the urban culture around St. Pauli and Reeperbahn. Doris told us about the conflicts between the occupied buildings and the police in the area and told us about the most iconic buildings in the area.
Then we cycled to a lovely small island (Wilhelmsburg) by the river where we took a break at a “biergarten”. Here we talked about how it is to live in Hamburg compared to our life in Denmark.
After that we cycled around some of the newer neighborhoods in Hamburg.
We had such a nice day and the time with Doris was – by far – our best experience in Hamburg. We hope other people get the chance to meet her.
