We had a really wonderful time being shown around the city with Alex. We hadn’t been to hamburg before and didnt know that much about the city, but she really listened to our prefences and clearly put some prep work into planning us a route and doing research and even picking up maps to give a really personalised introduction to the city.
It really felt more like a GREET than just a tour – like being shown around by a friend passionate to tell you about their place and chat rather than just a history lesson on landmarks (though Alex told us lots about those too!). She gave us a lot of her time and was really friendly, and it was great to be able to get lots of impressions and insights on local history and culture, along with some great local tips on how to get the most out of the city for the couple more days we had there (like what to do early to beat the crowds or where to find some of the best bits of vegan food).
We were really impressed both with the greeter system as a whole and Alex in particular – it felt like requesting a tour and finding a friend. We’d highly reccomend it all, we’ll definitely be back to Hamburg and when we do we’ll be reaching out to Alex again!
