In the NDR television series of the same name, the “Pfefferk\u00f6rner” are five girls and boys aged 9 to 14 who solve criminal cases. Their name is derived from the “Pfeffers\u00e4cken”, as Hamburg merchants used to be disrespectfully called. The series has been running successfully on ARD and KIKA for 20 years and now has 208 episodes (as of January 2020).<\/p>\n The Hamburg greeters, who are very familiar with the series, offer fans from all over Germany the opportunity to explore the tracks and filming locations, especially the locations in the Speicherstadt warehouse district. The headquarters (HQ) and the famous “Teekontor” are integral parts of the tour. Occasionally there is even the chance to watch the filming from a safe distance. But a visit to Pfefferk\u00f6rner World is also exciting for parents, as young and old alike get an entertaining dose of Hamburg history.<\/p>\n Incidentally, the episodes are always filmed during the Hamburg school holidays. The main child actors therefore have to come from Hamburg. So, dear parents, it could happen that your children ask you to move to Hamburg after the tour – why? It was a beautiful Sunday morning with our Greeter Matthias. In wintry temperatures, we walked from the Landungsbr\u00fccken towards Hafencity, enjoyed the view of Hamburg from the Elbphilharmonie and then extensively explored the Hafencity and Speicherstadt. In the process, Matthias has explained and told us a lot, has responded to our wishes and questions and has greatly enriched our visit to Hamburg.<\/p>\n
