Renate was a warm person and very generous with her time. It really felt like I had a friend in Hamburg to show me around.
We had quite a lot of communication before I arrived in Hamburg, resulting in Renate organising tickets for us to go to a concert at the Elbphilharmonie – what a wonderful experience.
On the date of our “greet” we met in Altona and Renate showed me many places of interest that a tourist would never see – showing aspects of life in Hamburg. A couple of days later we met again and walked along the beautiful Alster river. We had a lot in common and got on really well.
